Anytime, anywhere I can talk to God

Anytime, anywhere
I can talk to God.
Anytime, anywhere
I can talk to God.
Sometimes on my knees I pray;
always as I work or play
he is near me through the day.
My best friend is Jesus.

Anytime, anywhere I can talk to God Composer: - Cowen, David
A look at the author
Cowen, David
b.1945 into a run-down area of Liverpool, where he lived until his family was transferred to a council house in Kirkby in 1953. Here he attended the newly-formed Baptist church, and in 1963 gained employment at Barclays Bank in the same area. This work involved attending night classes, and while waiting for lessons to begin one evening David “happened upon” a collection of C.H. Spurgeon’s sermons in Liverpool Central Library. It was reading these that convinced David of the truth of the gospel. After several years’ work at the bank, and several unauthorised “experiments” with the branch’s comptometer (a forerunner to the computer) David was selected to move to London and train as a computer programmer. It was among the Strict Baptists in London that he met Sue. They married in 1970 and settled in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, where they still make their home and are members of Cuckfield Baptist Church. David and Sue have five children and four grandchildren. David died in 2018.
