Where is elijah’s God,
the God who answers prayer?
Where is our great almighty Lord
who promised to be here?
Where is the God of power
who comes in flaming fire,
to demonstrate before the world
what his commands require?
2. Where is the still small voice
which soothes the troubled heart
yet makes us want to hide our face
lest God his will impart?
Lord we are longing now
to feel your touch again,
to see you work as once you worked,
establishing your reign.
3. Father, revive your church
convict, regenerate.
Bring fresh new power to meet this hour,
your ways illuminate.
Then we will know you’re here,
that you are still the same.
Lord come, display your powerful hand
and vindicate your name.
