b Plymouth, Devon 1937. Plymouth Coll; Royal Academy of Music; RSCM; and St John’s Coll Cambridge (MA, MusB, FRCO (CHM), LCTL, ARAM, ARSCM. Member of the CofE; formerly Master of the Music, Leicester Cathedral, now retired to S Knighton, Leics. His first published hymn tunes were CHARNWOOD, BEACON HILL and NEWTOWN LINFORD, all featuring in 1980s collections from Jubilate Hymns of which he is an associate. Also in print are his organ toccata for a dedication festival, Urbs Beata, and several Psalm settings and chants. Nos.594=923, 925.
