Arranger & Composer

A piano pupil at the age of 9, and choirboy at Hatch End, Middx; Merchant Taylors’ School (learning the organ from age 13) 1958–64, then RAM until 1967 (LRAM, ARCO, GRSM). Teacher training at Reading Univ Dept of Education was followed by secondary school teaching from 1968 to 1975 at Coventry, Tunbridge Wells and Aylesford, Kent. From 1976 to 2000 he was a payments clerk in local govt. Meanwhile he served as asst church organist at Greenhill (Harrow), High Brooms (Tunbridge Wells, Kent), St Luke’s Maidstone (1978–94) and the village of St Peter’s Boughton Monchelsea, S of Maidstone (1994–2005). More recently he has had to concentrate on the care of his invalid wife, but still helps at St Luke’s Maidstone and other local churches as a weekday organist.
