Born at Felixstowe, Suffolk, into a musical family, she grew up in the Salvation Army, playing the piano from an early age and with formal lessons from 7 onwards. From the mid-1970s she has played the organ at Kesgrave Baptist Ch, nr Ipswich, Suffolk, where she has also provided special arrangements for musical evenings. For many years she belonged to the Holbrook Choral Society. Formerly at work in the Medical Records Dept of the main Heath Road Hospital in Ipswich, in retirement since 2005 she enjoys gardening and flower arranging. Marion died in 2021.
