b Ringwood, Hants 1841, d Ealing, W London (Middx) 1879. A solicitor by profession, he composed original tunes and descants as well as making arrangements; 2 of his hymn tunes appear in the 1990 Trinity Hymnal (USA) and 4 in GH. In 1874 he published Ten Original Tunes. No.935.
