b St Pancras, London (Middx) 1801, d Hampstead, N London (Middx) 1882. He was a prolific composer and publisher of songs in London who is sometimes confused with his son Thomas (1830–1904), also a music publisher. His surviving tune also features in The Companion Tune Book (where it is credited to ‘T Blockley’) and GH, but is otherwise rarely printed. No.807.
