1212. Grace is the gift that God alone

Grace is the gift that God alone
provides in Christ his Son;
unearned and free and undeserved
and by his suffering won.

2. Grace is the mark of all his words,
our creed, our prayers, our songs;
we hear and speak his truth, and give
all praise where it belongs.

3. Grace is the news we have to share,
God’s power for us today;
when all can hear its promises
and none is turned away.

4. Grace be with all who love our Lord
and peace within this place;
our present joy, our glorious hope,
one God of saving grace.
