1166. At the throne of grace

Author: Timothy Dudley-Smith

At the throne of grace
let us seek God’s face,
all our sins and griefs confessing,
longing only for his blessing,
as in holy fear
we in faith draw near.

2. Let us hear his voice
and in hope rejoice:
word of promise now believing,
word of pardon here receiving,
word of love unpriced
from the lips of Christ.

3. May our hearts be stirred
and our prayers be heard:
may our worship and thanksgiving
lead us on to holy living,
as we seek God’s face
at his throne of grace.
